I hadn't considered the weight of the stock R32 discs. After I wear out the first set of discs, I'll see if a two-piece replacement part is available.
Regarding the 17" wheels, these:

Never seen those wheels before!
These are brands hatch
these are long beaches (these were actually on my bora when i bought it!)
just some food for thought, throwing s cel means that the "check engine light" would come on,it has been none to happen with soem sport cats etc.
To answer a question you a while back unfortunately i didnt do a before and after dyno run to compare the exhasut-im raging i didnt, the power gains were pretty evident though, dont under estimate a good panel filter either!!VF Stage1 Supercharged V6 4motion Bora

No worries - and that's a rotten filter if it blocks all pics!
I'd like to stay as OEM as possible, and the 17s from the Bora Sport fit over the R32 brakes apparently - that's why I was going with them.
If I have to go for something else, I'll save up and get lightweight 18s I think, unless a set of R32 wheels pop up somewhere.Nothing to see here...

Hello,
Was wondering what the problem was with the misfiring, im having the same problem. Removed the spark plugs, cyl. 2,4, and 6 plug gaps were around 2mm, 1,3,and 5 were the normal 1.1mm or so. Did you have similar issue..? any advice would be great!!

Well, it's been a while, time for an update.
I have the R32 brakes. The discs are worn and I'll probably replace them, but not with VW OEM ones @ $580 a side! The calipers themselves are in good nick, they'll just need a clean-up and the'll be good to go on the car.
Under the VW R-Line wheels I've got coming. They're the same design as the 18" wheels that came on the Mk IV R32, but in 17x7.5, and apparently will fit over the R32 brakes (w00t)!
I've also purchased a set of K-Sport coilovers which I'll be having put on the car. At the same time as they're put on, all the suspension bushes that are shot will be replaced (strut top and lower control arm bushes at the front at least). The bushes should fix the terrible camber issues I have at present (tyres are almost shot).Nothing to see here...

Coolness.
I'd be interested to hear about any improvements (feel, performance, wear) as switching from slotted (standard) discs to vented, slotted 4-pots on the Liberty (+ Cusco brake booster) was like night and day. Big brakes FTW.
I'm running 18x8s so I assume fitting R32 calipers shouldn't pose an issue. Now to track down a set...
