This is an AWESOME looking Bora, congratulations.
Most of them are Silver or Black, with a few of the other colours, being Red,White,Grey, and various blues.
I would leave it stock standard as it is,thats the way it was intended to look by VW,and thats how it looks best, without spoiling it.

Forgot to ask,how much did it cost, and was it purchased privately.

Congrats on the purchase mate. Looks sweet as. It's funny because white would've just been a normal colour when that was new but with white being a "the sex" colour at the moment (see GTIs and Porsche GT3s) you've got a good buy there.
The drivers side leather looks a little worn. Nothing dramatic but I would start giving it some TLC on a regular basis right away to make sure it doesn't deteoriate.
        Enjoy.
        Cheers,
        Trent

            Congratulations!!

I find Boras a fairly ordinary, but a very classy VW.

BUT, add the V6 WITH 4-Motion......Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, delicious

I hope you truly enjoy this, it will be a great car...

Yeah, I wasn't sure about the white until I saw it - this one's in pretty good condition, and the white works really well.

The leather is a TINY bit worn, just on some of the stitching/piping, but I plan on having that sorted out with some TLC.

I'm trying to decide what the best bang-for-the-buck mod will be at the moment - I think a can of tyre goop, a 12v compressor and dropping the space-saver spare may be a good start (I detest space-saver spares).

Oh, and I have to change the plates...
                Nothing to see here...

If you think the foam and compressor is going to be any better than the space saver I wouldn't count on it. I've got both in my car, but basically unless I'm only around half an hour from home I'm going to ring RACQ and get a flatbed to tow me back to base.
Oh yeah and one day I will too have to get around to getting some euro plates.

                    I don't think it's necessarily a better solution to a puncture/flat, but I do suspect it'll weigh substantially less!

coilovers, swaybars, colour coding, 18" wheels, new intake and exhaust, different grille, tinted tail lights... just the many ways you could spend your money to make that a monster of a car

I'm thinking suspension will be the first real change I make, although I've been told wheels should be done prior to suspension so the suspension setup matches the final wheel/tyre combo...

I'm unsure how much difference new intake/exhaust will have on an NA 2.8L V6, but I'm keen to hear stories!

performance gains are modest. But the noise that comes from the VR6 engine is to diiieee for. Unless of course you want to keep it sedate that is.

Trying to get any real power gains out of the motor is difficult without changing internals or going down the forced induction route. Chip/remap, cai, and exhaust are your only real options and yeah you'll have to weigh up the $/kw thing. Definitely do a search on youtube and the like for VW sixes with different exhausts though.
