Checked it ouy - part number didn't list as anything.

The only autotechnica intake pipes avaliable were piss small - 90 to 200mm long. Maybe they're meant to be combined? Priced from $23-28 retail each.

I just ordered this silicone hose, I emailed them and it's supposed to be smooth on the inside and is made by Monza-Autotechnica. $25 delivered is pretty good I think, I'll let you know what it's like when it turns up. Then I'll be swapping it with the other one I installed, that should smooth the air flow a bit.

Installed K&N panel filter today. Makes a noticeable difference, but it's not crazy. So am thinking additional pipework might make further improvement.

Less hesitation, more responsive. Wouldn't say it's much faster though, just better to drive, more induction noise.

LOL, got the hose today, it's EXACTLY the same Autotecnica hose as the one i fitted.

Not even the same product they have pictured although it's an Autotecnica hose, I really couldn't be @ssed going thru the hassle of sending it back and trying to explain etc.

                    Oh Well!

In regards to bunnings, what size pipe are you after, i work at bunnings. If you are after a black silicone pipe about 2inches or larger in diameter, you are out of luck, the majority of pipe that we sell is the clear polyeurathane pipe used mainly for garden appliences that can come in various sizes, but does not flex well or turn corners withough creasing. Anything else will be exactly what snowy bought (ie. does not have a smooth internal surface) My best bet would be Pirtek, they specialise in that area, maybe even clark rubber, but that may be pushing it. Any other questions regarding Bunnings products id be happy to answer, even though im not getting paid for it, lol

Stuff it, I am going to email them and see what the go is with showing a pic of one product and then sending something different, I'll give them links to the manufacturers web site to show them the two products. They obviously think a hose is a hose is a hose.

I don't expect much response but it'll get it off my chest, not that I'll be losing sleep over it.

Found some interesting reading here on effective locations for siting the cold air intake.

Can I suggest everyone show what they've got currently set up? I'm looking around for ideas right now... I'm not interested in reading articles about different ideas, I'm interested in yours!

Here's the thread on mine, basically the same setup as Snowy's, except I'm using a modified standard airbox, as opposed to the EVOMS. Works well, you get some nice induction noise under acceleration, and with the APR r1 DV you get a small whistle. I don't like to draw too much attention with lots of noise and lairy bits, but like the performance and just a little bit of a hint of what's going on underneath the hood.
