Dude. That looks fantastic! Congrats on such a powerful shift in car condition hahah. I'm glad to help, I only knew what I told you from what I've learnt on here man, so it's a proven cycle of wonderful information

Did you prep the bumpers first, or did you just clean and spray right on?

Cheers Mickey, I am happy with the results

Nah no prep at all. I cleaned them down with some water first and then a cloth and some orange oil. Left them outside under the verandah and gave them roughly about 5 - 6 very light coats through out the course of the day

Thanks James, yeah it makes a huge difference. I'll need to ask your advice shortly when I get my foglights on the car.

                Careful, he hates his name....

It's good to hear you did light coats mate. Light coats works best for the finish.

I should really do this to my car....although i wanna get behind all my trim and polish the paint so you can't see brown layers of gunk around my bumper edges! *shakes fist*

Nice work mate, I did a similar thing with VHT hood and bumper paint, was a pain in the a$$ with all the masking etc but came out great much like yours. Takes a while to do but worth the effort IMO. Wash n go with that stuff on, no more armor-alling woot!

Cheers Pullstarter, yeah I wanted to paint them purely for the fact of avoiding having to re-apply bumper colour or shoe polish etc.

I want to take off the front bumper bar, the rear bumper bar and the VR6 trims on the doors next and paint them up too. Any one have any tips on getting these off the car??

Also does anyone know a good way to get sikaflex off the car at all? I want to take off the passenger side rear arch and paint that also.

About the only way I know of to get Sika off is VERY carefully with a razor blade, not a great method I know

Front and rear bumpers aren't too hard to get off, just a matter of unbolting and sliding off pretty much.

So here's what I got up to today... fitted my new bodykit. What do you think?
I am a bit worried about driving in the rain with it though:

Looks great! Now all you need is a CLEAN

EDIT: Is that water in there? If it is, it's easy to get out, all you need is to pop out the indicator and unplug the light..

..and grab some sort of stick, wrap paper towel on the end and poke it through the hole and wipe away the water
