Righto, got my order from GAP but haven't had the time to install anything yet. Reason for that is this...

I'm just gonna spill the beans allllll over the floor here - she's shaven now, and is currently being stripped and wetsanded in preparation for respray















There were a few funny little things we had to consider when we shaved the hatch...

The lights in their plastic covers stuck out too much for our piece of metal to be welded on - so we had to grind the light holes further down and re-drill them. That was fun! The boot button will be replaced with a solenoid, because obviously the other one looked way too homo...obviously..hahah.

Oh and in the last picture the line we've created with niki isn't straight because that was a WIP pic - my mate finished off the line for me today apparently.

New colour is going to be from the Mazda family...''crystal white pearl''. Apparently I get to choose how much pearl to put in by the layers that we paint on so I'll see how we go. The bonnet and roof were wetsanded last night and the rest of the car will be done in a probable two weeks.

Guards are going to get pumped early next week, so we can then wetsand the rear quarters and re-shape any deformed arch lines. Hooray it's all happening!

Did u weld the badge and the wiper hole? I hope its not just bog there coz its gonna crack. You gonna get ur guards pulled as well while ur painting it???

We welded a plate behind the wiper hole, and we 'panelbeated' the badge hole out as much as possible before filling the rest with bog. My mate is certified so I trust him.

Guards pulled/pumped/whatever next week. 15mm.

hehehehe. the back ones are off atm and the front ones will come off when we wetsand the front bumper...

To everyone who hated me doing it the first time; I'm gonna fill those screw holes from the numberplates! lol I'll make a bracket or mount the plates some new way when it comes to it.
