Nice work Mickey I suggest hitting it with the 2000 grit sandpaper to scuff it up abit to make it even more shinier and get rid of the bubbles

I was trying to find 1000+ grit for my mouse sander last weekend... anyone know where I can get some? I am willing to pay postage and purchase costs lol

How did you remove the badge? Any special trick to doing it Mickey?
I was gonna pull mine off aswell and paint it black to match my front one.
Looks good without, but the hole does look a tad odd!sigpic

Mmmm it's annoying me because I don't want it to be obvious and black; and even though it's more subtle with no badge that indentation will give me the shytes. I wonder how hard it is to weld....
KIDDING!
I'm liking the look of Jondarren's mk4 rear badge...I think the blue would go with my car despite my efforts to exterminate all traces of colour on the exterior
so who knows yet. The badge isn't going on for now anyways, I'll decide later.
Lorenz, just put a hairdryer on the face of the badge for a minute or so; it helps to heat up the adhesive. Get a flathead and tape up the ends; Push the flathead behind the badge and carefully pry it off while your hairdryer is still warming it. Works a treat
Then clean the indentation with goo-gone or similar.

standard air from UPS is 3-4 weeks, the other services cost ALOT more but will arrive in less days than there are fingers on your hand.Originally posted by Jarred View Postwhy so long? normally it's like a week and a bit...?80,000km 1997 MK3 VR6 manual for sale - www.vwwatercooled.org.au/forums/f23/80-000km-1997-manual-vr6-nsw-sydney-67658.html

Maybe it will be less! I'm just taking a guess at a huge amount of time, firstly because i'm not in need of it, and secondly because our method we chose for shipping was very affordable and said 6-10 days but you can never trust those estimates haha.Mrk Detailing, premium automotive detailing. When I chose to get my first order sent via USPS Express, it was here within 3 days of sending off the order. My second order took about 3.5 weeks in the end and that was just normal USPS AirMail. Glad your not in a hurry for the parts co you will be waiting a while Mickey
