  • signs of a bad wheel bearing?

So since Ive had my vento its had a very noisey front passenger wheel bearing, previous owner had a mechanic write a list of what needs doing and it was on the list. My question is, does a bad bearing also affect steering? Turning left is fine, but turning right its alot stiffer and vibrates alot. Was going to replace the bearing myself as it seems pretty strsight forward but want to know whether Im going to run into more parts to fix.

Sounds more CV if it does one way and not the other.

yeah totally agree with Gavin. My wheel bearings when i had my mk3 just sounded like constant scraping and rough as sh*t. It just got louder if it was in the turns slightly quieter on the wheel with less traction/pressure, louder on the other.
