Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • How much are ventos worth?

Looking to put in an offer on a Vento, how much does a good condition one change hands for these days? Assuming good condition and average k's?

    I'm guessing about between $3000 - $3500?

Seen a few around the $3K mark, bought mine for $800 but needs a bit of work!

I've just come back form overseas and had my eye on a blue one, like yours 'dubster99', was a one owner with 140,000, auto, full VW service history and was asking $3,800. Had my eye on it and was hoping it would still be there when I got back, but it had been snapped up!

I've still got my eye for one, but they're getting pretty thin on the ground now. If anyone knows of one going for sale, please let me know.

      Cheers!

You do see rougher ones pop up uber cheap popsicle money, but yeah minters demand a few grand.

There was a clean manual GL in Surry Hills for like $2k last year. It was proper mint!

Wow! That white one from the ACT looks awesome!! A bit pricey, but could be a goer?! Have you looked into that one?

I would, but would have to check the funds first. I'd love a Vento or a SEAT Ibiza Cupra if I could.
