  • debadging the grill?

Hi does anyone know how to debadge a grill or maybe just get a black vw emblem? in the case of the first want it so that it looks pro, same as in the case of the second option, just dnt want a hole or dent if i take the first option. Is this possible? if i just spray the badge black is this the only way, is there a recommended product and or instructions for prep? Is there anyone who has the black badge to buy? Any info would be much appreciated, Thanx guys & girls.

    Hey mate, here's what I did - http://rayray086.blogspot.com/2007/0...le-part-1.html

Not easy, but I guess will save you a few dollars as opposed to importing your own one.

I just painted my badge black with some flat black paint. Gave it a quick light sand to roughen up the metal paint first then gave it a few light coats of paint. Came out sweet!

I went from a black to a chrome for just that reason

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Me too, the previous owner had done an extra dodgy black spray on it.

alternative way, using foam as a mould for fiberglass.

Yeah in a way..... I still have 0.06 of a kilometer of fibreglass that we bought... I could DIY and upgrade my bath tub... but thats stupid.
