  • CAI question

    hey guys.

im trying to find a way to run a hose for my BMC CDA so i get proper cold air induction. i cant fiqure out for the life of me how/where to run the hose so i can get it to suck from my bumper intakes or the lower grill where the horn is.

    What have you guys done?

    cheers

I dont think you will be able to get it to the upper ducts without making it overly restrictive.
Its not too hard to get it to the lower duct. All you need to do is relocate the charcoal cannister to the other side of the car by extending the vacuum lines. Then just move the horns out of the way. If you search the forum or vwvortex there are all sorts of walkthroughs on how to do it

Move the Horn don't forget you have two horns you only really need one, you can also relocate it so its more easier to get air from down there!

Here is my write up from when I put my CAI in and moved the carbon canister.

Mind just hangs down there as the AC dryer is in the way to get into the lower duct without some wrangling. It's something I will get to one day, but I think the additional effects of having the intake in the vent would most likely be negligible anyway.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Theres heaps of stuff on vortex, relocating the horn is what people do, but i think its easier to lead it down to the lower duct..cars lookin good.
