The Mk3 is having some issues...

I'll go to take off from a standing start, nothing too drastic or strenuous, then change to 2nd (manual box, clutch engagement point is really high in the stroke but not slipping), the RPM will come up to around 3k and then it feels like I lose power. It doesn't pop or fart or shake like its dropped a cylinder, its almost like you've run the tank dry. It's a very even loss of power.

Keeps losing RPM no matter where you have the throttle pressed to (you can flatten the accelerator and it makes no difference), until you lift slightly, then reapply the throttle. It'll have this hiccup in 3rd, and very occasionally in 4th. Oddly enough, the longer you drive it, the less it happens. It only ever seems to lose power when accelerating, back off and it comes back.

It's a 95 model Vento. Should I be concerned about injectors? it had a brand new fuel pump and filter last week. My first port of call will be to throw new spark plugs at it. Who's had this before?

just went out to disconnect the battery to reset the computer and found that the air intake hose was hanging off the throttle body... Reckon that might be the source of my issues?
