Hey Guys,
I've been on the forum for a while now with many different cars;
1994 VW Golf (MK3) 1.4LS - Manual (UK Model)
2002 VW Golf (MK4) 2.0 Sport - Auto
2003 VW Golf (MK4) 1.8T GTI - Manual
2005 VW Golf (MK5) 2.0 FSI - Manual
Just last night, I picked up my newest edition and probably my favourite so far (tough choice between the MK4 GTI).
A 1996 VW Golf 2.8 VR6 OBD1 in Black.
I found it whilst I was randomly scrolling through Carsales and instantly called and went straight round.
Car is incredible, it's a semi-fixer-upper, mechanically everything is fine except the usual ABS fault and the fact that the previous owner has mixed (what I assume) to be G11 and G12 coolant, so that'll be getting flushed ASAP.
Other than that, there's a vacuum leak in the central locking which I just need to track down and there's also an odd problem with the electric windows which I'm pretty sure is linked to the central locking.
Other than that, it's a great drive. Drove back home (approx. 30mins) and it was crazy fun!
Been reading through the other build threads and I'm pretty excited to get started.
I've met a few of the guys from the MK4, MK5 and MK6 scene but definitely looking forward to meeting a few of the MK3 guys!.
I'll add photos onto the next post, (only have rough dark photos at the min, so I apologise).
