Bump! Few years later and I’m back in a mk3 vr6. Also started an apprenticeship with volkswagen too. Keeping the post short and sharp but hopefully can include many photos. Ended up picking up a dragon green vr . About 180k , manual sunroof. Pretty stock only a few small minor upgraded or replacement parts. bit of damage to the rear but nothing much. Managed to fix it myself and also put my old hella quads back on and colour matched them too. About a year or 2 down the track from when I got it, I ended up getting into a smash and the golf was sandwiched! Was actually rear ended by another mk3 vr6. managed to save all the running gear and just needed a new radiator and few other bits. I actually sourced another mk3 golf by the next day after it was written off. This time it was a 2 door cl . Car was sitting on someone’s farm out in the paddock. It was an automatic 1.8l that had seen better days but still looked very straight. bought the car sight unseeen and was super excited! Managed to complete the engine swap in about 2 weeks. Included waiting for some parts and waiting for permitting weather. Car has been on the road now for a few months now and hopefully soon can get it the way I really want it. Hoping these photos upload correct, probably not in order though
