changed the ecu to a manual one? Imagine trying to start the car not in Park mode on an auto. Won't work. If ecu isn't receiving that then it wouldn't start I'd suspect. Obviously also the manual starter is different to the auto one. The more information you can give us on what you've done and what it's doing the more likely someone can help you

Hay when you go to crack does nothing no clicking sound from the starter motor. Im running the manual starter motor. I've got a donor car which I have taken all the parts off. I've plugged the ecu off the manual and same thing happens also comes up with a error code on Ross tech that engine start is blocked by the imboliser. I've also disconted the auto ecu dash doesn't display it being in park.

If you still have the auto wiring in there, you may have to jumper the 6-pin plug that used to sit below the battery on the transmission to make the car think it is permanently in neutral.Past: '77 VW Golf GLS Mk1 3-door, 2 x '95 VW Golf CL Mk3 3-door, 2015 Mk7 90 TSI Manual
