Gear Shift Knob

I want a new knob. [insert joke here]

What I want is a black golf ball like the Mk1 shifter, but it seems they aren't any available that are not chrome or that flash in some sort of gaudy way.

I'd also consider something in a tasteful black leather, although I really like the balls. [insert another joke here]

So what I want is a black leather ball, either that or I consider getting the shifter done at the same time as I get the steering wheel done. On the upside, being that both parts work as they are, I'm in no rush. So does anyone know of anything that is available that I may like??

im not sure but if its the same chrome golf ball thats up on ebay i think its made of aluminium if it is you can get it annodized black

Yeah man just go for a golf ball and make it black. DIY FTW! I want something nice and white, preferrably leather, but I'm in no rush either..someone let me know if they come across anything! Sorry for hijack

Aaron you will have to cut the gear stick slightly about an inch however it will fit and it looks darn good, I want to get rid of mine for something else you can have mine if you like its the GTI model

You will love it, just make sure that you trim your gear shifter down a inch so the leather doesn't look stretched
