Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Mines the genuine US one (got it from ecs). Has a gap as the US bumpers are proportionally different to our euro ones.
If you buy one from the dealer, you'll get a perfect fit, it's about $150 per a side.
If u look at my driver side lip, it's got these folding marks from it being smashed into/folded from going down steep hills/driven over by multiple cars/4wd ute (my dad used the car once, and came back with that side missing, when he went back for it all these cars an 4wds went over it. On closer inspection the holding spots in bumper broke, instead of the lip tabs :/ )
Goes to show how good the genuine ones are, unlike the eBay ones which break at the sight of a steep ass driveway.
Hayden u got lucky with your eBay one, the mix they must have used for that batch, would have prob been good.
