  • Window just stopped working

Heading is pretty self-explanatory..opened my car and held key in to open the windows, and the rear right window went down then buggered around and crept back up hahaha.

The motor still works, i can hear things as i press the button.

Has it just slipped off the window or something small? It doesn't seem bad

i'd say your cable has just left the roller and your reg is now stuffed.

It's always the rear right-hand side.
        Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.

very "normal" for mk3, perhaps all golfs with electric windows.
had the car for a year .. had to replace 3 of the regulators, consider yourself being initiated.

I've got at least one that I know will go soon... luckily it's a back window where people rarely sit so it should be good for a while... unless I stupidly wind it up and down to "check" if it still works... n:

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

I dunno, could be a worse place for unwanted passengers to jump in

You can fix the reg if the cable guide has broken away.

You need a Dremel & metal hose clamp.
