My Volk GRCs finally arrived today
Pretty decent condition with fully resprayed centres.

      16x7 fronts and 16x8 rears!

Got all excited and went to test fit them this afternoon but I need new studs :/ the oem studs are way too short and dont even really fit in the holes so I'm heading down to coventrys tomorrow to see if they can hook me with new bolts!
If that doesn't go to plan I'm thinking of doing a conversion to bolts and nuts. Looks pretty simple (Can be seen here http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...nut-conversion) so that might be the way too go if I want these Volks to work, need hub centric rings too.

Also getting tyres in a couple of days, I really wanna run 165/40 fronts and 185/40 rears but those tyres are impossible to find -_- so I'm gunna settle for 195/45 fronts and rears. Either the elcheapo 'hyflys' for $109 a corner or maybe some Falken ze912's for $140 a corner.

Either way, picks will be up when the wheels are mounted! Can't wait.

Spent ages trying to find wheel studs today but got lucky at swan tyres in Osborne park. They had some studs that worked with the Volks, was easier than changing to nuts I suppose.

I then rushed back to a mates place to do a little test fitting

        There's one problem though...
I can't even get my fingers between the barrel and the strut aha but hey clearance is clearance!

I'm almost 99% sure I need spacers, I will find out in a few days but I don't think a 195/45 front is gunna clear those locking nuts. Should be fine on the rear though.
I'm also not sure if the calipers touch the centers...

But either way I'm chuffed with the results hopefully I can get some pictures at motorex.

Looks rad! Looks like you've got plenty of room, in terms of wheel to fender, to run spacers. Can always cut out the helpers too

Thanks bud! Yeah the front offset is +36 and the rear is +38 so there is enough room to run spacers, I will buy some decent pacers down the track but for now I'm just going to try and source a 3-5mm for the front, that will save the tyre I hope.

I dropped the Volks off at tyre power this morning to get the falkens fitted. I then drove to a load of shops trying to I find a 3mm spacer, finally picked one up at auto one.
                Then arrived home only to be called back up by tyre power to tell me they don't have any valves that fit -_- greatttttt. I shopped around but the guys at tyre power sourced them that afternoon, so I'm picking the wheels up tomorrow morning sometime fingers crossed they fit without spacers on the front. Here's the front clearance on the test fitment;

195/45s are fitting in that gap, pray to god!

                        That looks really really nice.

Space them and lower it and you're set.

                          Looks so good Billy!
We'll have to see what the 8's look like on the front then maybe try source some new lips for the ass end
Why go spacers when you can just go bigger lips

Can't wait to roll out for VWs at the Drive Inn!

Thanks man! Wheels are 16x7 et36 up front and 16x8 et38 in the rears. The tyres are 195/45/16 Falkens, decent looking on the back with a little stretch and pretty normal looking up front.

Well not much happen yesterday, but when I went to take the wheels off the lower the coils the adapter rounded... I used it twice!

So I went on back down to swan tyres in Osborne park, they replaced it.

I got home and lowered the front as much as I could.

Lowered the back about 20mm but it needs more which I will do today

Updates and side shot when the back Is lowered too!
