That's a really clean job Aaron, thumbs up. Where did you buy the spray adhesive from? And did you end up using two cans of it?

I ended up using almost the lot, I have maybe 10% left in one can. I may have gotten away with less, but I wouldn't have thought too much. Besides, for the sake of $22 I would rather make sure it's right rather than have to do it all again.
Mine isn't suede, although I thought about it, it's actually Polar Fleece. Your more than welcome to come around and have a look see in person if your interested.

nice workmate! glad to see my tutorial helped!
that glue worked well - i'm actually thinking of re-doing mine in a different colour and maybe with a stripe!
the stuff I used was about the same thickness, but i got regular cotton fleece (which is smooth on one side and furry on the other). this gives me many ideas on lots of different fabrics.
i think this should be a prerequisite after purchasing a golf! it really does make a huge difference.

Hi, does anyone out there know whether large hail damage to the roof of my vr6 would cause the headlining to sag?? I only noticed the sag just before christmas when I happened to be in the back seat (after the car was inspected by the insurance company). If anyone knows for sure that the hail damage would cause it then I can start the battle with the insurance company.
Cheers

Nice work Hawk
You can buy proper headlining fabric from a mob in Alexandria for $30 any colour you like and I use the cheapo contact adhesive that comes in a tin and you spread it on with a brush. Its $10 a can.
Your looks good though mate, nice effort.sigpic Camden GTI Performance. VW / AUDI Specialists

FYI:
When looking for material you need something 118 cm wide or greater.
Alot of good prints at Spolight are only 112cm wide and possible not wide enough. The widest cloth covering part is between the front seat grab handles. Material needs to go into the bumps and dont forget you should have some to wrap around the edges - but if your keen you do not need to as the trim does cover about 10-15mm of the headliner sides. 112cm wide material is cutting it pretty fine but might be do'able.
You will need about 2m in length, more if you have to cover a sunroof.
You can get the 3m High Strength 90 Spray Adheasive from TOTAL Fastener http://www.totalfasteners.com.au/ You can only get it from Industrial suppliers... so no Bunnings or Auto Parts stores.
RRP $29 /can

I'm doing my headliner right now and found to clean the bad foam off the headliner board it was quicker and easier to use a cordless drill and a small Finishing mixed Flap wheel (Sandpaper and Scotchbrite sandwich bought at K-Mart).
