Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Cheers man Yeh the paint cost a fortune but if its only for a run around just go get it done by a bloke in his shed haha. Probably get a roof done for $300.

    Yeh I love the dashmat! It's so practical and I like the grandma spec style haha.

                Haha cheers guys. Big fan of the OEM look as you both know... Just trying to decide whether or not to go with the montreal 2s. I think it'd give it that OEM + look but not 100% sure! If not that, I realy need to find a clean set of Stockies as mine have been butchered by yours truely haha.

                So I have pretty much replaced everything known to man that can go wrong on a VR6.

                Water pump and all ABS plastics in the coolant system were done today with help from a mate. SHe's running sweet and needs to be taken on a Nebo run/ dynod!

                Pics on the weekend after I've cleaned all the dust from the recently polished paintwork.

                            Now has a new clutch kit and clutch fork installed. I think I've spent 10k+ on this car now.

                              So finally got the new Montreal's on! Personally love the OEM+ look. Here she is all polished up.

                              Also the clutch is fully fixed now with no shuddering She's running sweet. The only maintenance item left to do on this car are the brakes and they are on my long but almost completed list!!
