I was thinking of the mdf option but then I cant fit the stock grilles over the speakers (Me and my stock look fetish...). Haha not a half bad idea, smeeb.

You could take off the door cards and mount the mdf inside and then when the speaker is mounted either through the front or behind the mdf you'll have heaps of room for the grill to go back on. Where there's a will there's a way!

Also try gap filler foam, also works as sound dampening holds nice and tight.

Would work a treat until you want you speakers back.

I just made some brackets out of some scrap metal I had lying around. screwed the brackets into the 6.5 mounting holes and screwed the speakers into the brackets. Worked a charm!

I never know whether to start a new thread or just go off this... But will try this for now. Need to get a new battery for the car as recent work and forgotten boot lights have killed my old 2008 Century that came with the car. Anyone have any suggestions? They all say the DIN53L or DIN65L but just wondering if there are any other options whether they be cheaper or better etc. etc.

                Cheers,
                Max

i would get a sealed unit (odyssey, optima, etc) and stick it in the boot if funds allow

otherwise, i dunno, but i've heard the racv batteries are rubbish
                  I'm selling my VR6

Funds do not allow . 1) I am stingy. 2) Lots of money has been/ is to be spent on some more panel beating work and various mechanical set backs.

Coolant seems to be slowly leaking out of my brown thermostat sensor I can't seem to see any cracks so if i'm lucky could it just be the o-ring for the sensor? If so, is it just a matter of draining coolant, pulling out the sensor and putting in a new o-ring??

Lows are coming As well as a fairing hehehe. But I want to get a good ride as well so probably won't go the cheap coilover option.
