  • The wheel plays half the role in making it work too I reckon. As much as that looks good, not digging the wheels.

Devs VR6 is rocking some mean 17s and he's got it at a sweet height so yeah, it can be done.

    • That's 15x8.5 +10 and 15x9.5 +3. 17s would just have 2 inches more diameter

      • Also that's an awesome way to play around with sizes and decide what you want

        • yeah well my currents are 15x8 et17 and there a tad sunk at the front and only about 1-3mm off poke at the rear, if that so I know it's possible.

And dude, the new wheels (faces) are so so so so so cool. I seriously cannot wait to build these - will absolutely **** on the RS's (in my opinion anyway haha)

          • Get out there with a ruler and measure up what different sizes will look like. Its really simple math to figure out offsets and such.

Interested to see what these new wheels are, rs came out mint

            • very simple math as that is literally all I do at work, all day errday.

Yeah, shame I need them gone as I'm going 5x100 as of next Friday. Really loved them but eh, things are always changing.

                • If you're good with numbers its really easy. Best way to decide what size to make them is instead of looking online, just calculate how different lip/barrel sizes will sit compared to the wheels on there now, then go to the car with some sort of measuring device and see exactly where they will sit and choose that way. I've decided exactly what size lips and such I want for the modenas for my e30 to get it sitting just right, without even bolting one on

Are you putting in the wider vr6 rear beam? That will change how things fit a little

I would have lost my bananas if this ended up happening. Would've looked the absolute nuts. Hard to pull off though shame it didn't eventuate in the end.

Yeah is a shame what happened happened. Was about to order the lips and make it happen just before it was taken off the road. I could have gone wider (15x9 and 15x10) but it wasn't going to sit as low if I did.

I'll try and find some more test fit photos

I think these are the same specs. I played with a few specs and didnt save them with descriptions, so they might be different though

Would have been tucking wheel if I kept them narrow

Well it'll be just as simple as when I built the RS's.

Yeah, swapping in the rear beam and front rack but I read it's only mm's wider, nothing to be overly worried about.
