Well I did it twice in the 2 years that I had my car haha. It lasts pretty long, only problem is it doesn't work on the spoiler cus it doesn't take up the polish like the bump strips does.Comment

Heat gun worked great on my mk3, still looked like new a year later when I sold it
Did dress trims with 303 every month or so at least when I washed it though... If you don't look after them it doesn't matter what method you use to make them black they will fade again. Just like paint. can get it all polished up beautifully, but if you don't look after it carefully it will look like **** again before you know it
