MK5 TDi Jetta or MK4 R32??
I'm actually torn, they are both around the same price, only the R32 has coils, a tune and whatnot. It's also had the Timing chains just done!
I feel like the Jetta is the smart option for the long run, especially considering fuel prices, but I've always wanted an R32.
Do I be a kid and get the R32, or be a man and get the Jetta. ****

Is a tough one between jetta and 32. I think 32 would hold value better and it sounds like a good deal. Also becoming rarer. I say go the 32. My parents picked up their tdi jetta for 10k so you'd be up if you decided to change your mind sell it and get a jetta. Jetta is a very comfortable car and surprisingly got a bit of grunt. (Compared to our 1.9tdi golf and bora 2.0)
Is a tough one... R32 will chew more money at the pump and in parts but would be super fun. Around that price though you could get a s4 Audi? I guess that's like an r32 on roids.

It's interesting you mention that the R32 will hold better value actually. That's a very good point. I can't really see R32's dropping to below 10 grand anytime soon. A tdi Jetta though, will probably get there in 3-4 years. Infact there are already some for sale for 10 grand. Not too interested in the S4, That'd be way more expensive maintenance wise than an R32.
The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards R32, But I'm not sure if its just the car enthusiast in me convincing me its the better decision haha.

Yeah as I said my parents picked up a jetta for 10 or 11k earlier this year. R32 would definitely hold value better being that only 200 were released here and being the top of the line, collectors car bla bla bla. Could also get a mk5 gti for similar money as the other two I believe?
I say have fun while you can (R32) can always get the fuel efficient sensible car later
