To cut a long story short...
I just got may car back from the panel beaters.
The next day I noticed the radio did't work and the battery light on my dash was on, which was't the case before I gave them my car, so I took the car back to them and they figured it was a fuse for the radio and said my alternator could be kaput for the light on the dash.
Then the panel beater started to reveal that he jump started the car and I questioned him on these faults were due to the jump start. He denied it. The car drove fine....... so I let it go....
The next day I was driving it down Victoria Rd doing about 70 the ABS light and other lights started to flash the rev meter started to drop and jump up the whole dash went haywire and then the car just died, luckily I was able to pull into a side street. I try to start the car again the windows just go down. WTF???!!!
I suspect the panel beater fried my ECU as well as blowing the fuse for the radio and possibly destroying the alternator but it drove fine for about a day.
So I got a quite massive dilemma on my hands, my car is stranded about 30mins from home I got no cash to have it looked at. The insurance company just says its ware and tare, which I think Not!
Any advice on what to do or what you think has happened to my car would be greatly appreciated,
as i have quite a battle in front of me, I need as much ammunition to take in to this fight to get them to fix my car.
