  • are vr6's rare yet?

Looking on carsales, it seems that good condition, manual VR6's are relatively hard to find these days.

Considering there was only 800 or whatever to start with, are VR6's considered rare yet?

Will they ever go up in value? Have they hit their minimum price yet?

They never seem to come up for sale anywhere other than Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.

For people who are wanting to buy one, how hard are you finding it to get one?

I think the answer is technically yes, but no one cares yet but us lot

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Stock ones are rare from the few searches I've done for my brother.

Always getting rarer. You see alot get wrecked (like mine ) or they just dont get looked after. Colour Concepts even harder to find!

But there are always cycles in when they pop up. Only a few months ago there were 4 or 5 for sale in QLD. I think there might be 1 at the moment.

I dont get many VR6s through the shop anymore , but most that I have seen need a ton of work . A fair few are starting to rust as well . Finding a good VR6 thats clean is hard cause most have big kms and havent been looked after , and the ones with low kms are few and far inbetween . Maybe not rare now , or just yet but they are definately on their way to becoming rare !

Just to backup what bug racer said, my mech (golfwagen/elite euro) says virtually all VR6s these days are buggered and need a heap of work to bring them up to scratch again.

So I'm going to say yes, VR6s are rare, and manual ones even more so. I don't think they'll appreciate in price though, but they may stay steady.

There's a hand full of mint ones in each state (well in sydney at least) and the rest, well as others have said, there all thrashed and worn out.
