  • Boston Acoustic tweeters on door card.

My little DIY few days ago..
that space on the door card was perfect fit for tweeters in mk3s, exactly 3.5cm in diameter ...flush fit ..

And installed Bass controller for subwoofer ...hidden away, also used the OEM Hole to mount.

LOVE it when things fit perfectly.

OH really ... as in OEM fitting ?? damn.. !! You have a pic ? I still have an 1mm gap between tweeter and door card, I want to some how fill in the little gap.

LOL the badge.. seemed like a waste after debadging. I have the "golf" and front VR6 stuck onto my printer.

Some pics for you from my VR6 showing the OEM speaker (only in the rear):

                    Front Door (no speaker):

                    Rear door:

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

At what point did VW go from the 5 1/4" Co-AX 2way in the rear door of the VR6 to the split? My 95 doesn't have splits there. (all mine have been replaced anyway.)

aren't the speakers 6.5" ?? Wouldn't mind OEM splits on the rear door..

My 1996 (early) didn't have rear speakers even. The speaker hole was there (no tweeter hole) but no wiring at all. Damn GL spec.

I wouldn't take anything on my car as gospel... there are LOTS of little things that don't make sense. As for the leather, thats not stock leather either, someone put that in (before I bought it). Matt (Golf Loon) told me what it came out of, but I don't remember
