I wasn't really asking opinions, I was asking whom if anyone is capable of doing the p&p work on the head.
A port and polish will get you 3/5th's of fuark all increase. Poor investment.
You'll need a balance, higher compression, huge cams, stronger valve springs, intake manifold, extractors. You might get close to 150... But you'll sacrifice all low end torque and drive ability.
It's not like grand turismo. Some of the mods above might even rob you of power.
5-6psi on stock fueling with a turbo or supercharger will get you there for less than half the cost. You'll make closer to 150+ kw at the wheels and a mountain of torque.

Id buy one from overseas . Having staggered runners makes it really hard to flow . Its a bit of trial and error .
Besides , to make more power you have to rev more . A 12V that revs to 9000+ rpm will make the same power that a 24V that revs to 7000rpm . And we all know whats gonna be more reliable !

Firstly a VR6 is NOT a rare car, and resale on them is never going to be an issue, ever 'rare' watercooled VW's get bugger all. Its a bloody VW and this is Australia.
Secondly, turbo is the only way to go if you want to make power out of the VR6 12v, as the others have said if you want to wake it up some chuck some cams, exhaust and an intake on it, otherwise get a 24v or a turbo.
Third, I don't see the point of selling your car, just to buy a crap heap, fix it up to a driveable point and turboing it just because your car is too 'good' to turbo. That's just money down the drain. No one modifies cars thinking of resale or how much money you'll get back because it'll never happen. Just drive it and enjoy it

lower it. Drive low and slow and don't loose your licence...or sell it for a realistic price and get a v8 commodore or an XR6 turbo (ug boots optional) and stop asking ridiculous questions on our forum.
It's been said by plenty who know now, that to get good usable power from a VR6 motor you must use forced induction (super or turbo charging). The rest is just trolling. If I was a mod I'd lock this thread and be done with it.
