So I FINALLY got around to finishing my brakes! Painted in "Brembo" Gold and ran a new seal kit through them feeling accomplished and imo they turned out mint .... installing a non abs set up and taking the opportunity to clean and paint the hard lines, should have it all in on Saturday hopefully....




Also painted these whilst I was at it; it's the same gold, was just overcast at the time so they look dull.... Felt the "brushed aluminium" wrap I put on them looked out of place, so they'll tie in with the engine and brakes now




And i'm super happy with how the rocker cover has turned out but that will have to wait to be shown! haha

Oh, also finished the clearing of the lights after a mishap that left me feeling annoyed. On my last attemp at clearing them, my gun spat some chunks of grey primer through the nozzle, source unknown. So I had to wait for them to dry before I could sand it back, which incidentally took off some of the red tint..... was a major FML moment but we're good now..... They just need a sand back and a buff and they'll be golden

Righto, was a big day today! Planned just to install the fresh calipers but decided to perform the abs delete and whilst I was removing the loom for the abs, I then decided to finish off the battery relocation. Also squeezed in some more lip work at the end. pics! it's a ****ty mix of mobile and dslr pics :/












Wasn't too sure what the go was with this silicon tubing on the hardlines? But I heat gunned it all off, to paint the lines black..... the scratched up only a little during the install, will redo them perhaps when the conversion takes place...




ABS/battery delete....... you might also just be able to see in the last pic where I relocated the washer bottle..... Also the power stering reservoir will be dealt with later....

Also did some research on the wheels i've acquired.... Never really looked into the car itself, the A59 Golf, only two actual cars were ever made, questionable if the second was ever completed because its where abouts is unknown and the original one is in a museum. Only three "body kits" were ever produced, the third one belongs to that blue "A59" recreation with the turbo VR6....

So how I have these wheels is a ****ing mystery, however, they'll be here in a month and a bit

haha, for a cabby it does :p

I know! I saw on the facebook group "burn all the mk3's", someone posted up saying that they were for sale but didn't have the money, nor did they wont to disclose where they were... So I dug them up and snatched them! ....... I have no frikin clue as to how they're aren't with an A59 though :/
