C'mon guys, lets keep this on topic.

No need to argue amoungst ourselves, we all have different opinions and I'd like to think this is a place where we can express them without being jumped on by other members.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Is that for real? If so, that car is what put Jesus on the cross.

I don't wanna offend, but cutting springs on a $2k set of coilovers, that have been perfectly matched, is absolutely ridiculous!!!

With the car wound down all the way at the rear, the springs are almost fully compressed, and will hardly move. Cutting them to go lower is not only INCREDIBLY dangerous, but it will seriously shorten the life of the shock absorber because it is over compressed!

I'd seriously tell your mate that his car will become a coffin on wheels when he goes over a pot hole at speed. I have personally seen cars shift lanes after hitting pot holes, all because they had cut the springs, it was sitting on the bump stops and there was NO rear suspension travel!!! BUMP STEER puts people in poles, trees, and cars, after after the ambos scoop them off the road, the undertaker has the exciting job of making them look presentable with detached limbs and without a head!

                  SERIOUSLY RECONSIDER!!!

                  GOOD LUCK!

I can't believe your going to do this straight out, you sure you drive a VW, this has got to be one of the most rediculous ideas I have ever seen. Do yourself a favour go get k-macs sell the coilovers and be peace with it. Seriously you do that I don't know you guys lol!

Just to add my voice to the chorus, DONT CHOP THE KWs.

Sell em, get king springs, chop those and have $1500 bux to add 7 15" filly sik sub woofahs to the boot.
