Replacing VR6 sump gasket

I just need to replace my sump gasket, I've got the new rubber gasket but I need a few tips from people who have probably done this a million times before.

I have the rubber gasket, is it better just to use that, or to use some sealant as well? If so what sealant would you recommend?

If you use sealant, how long do you need for it to set before you can fill it up with oil again?

What size are the hex bolts that you have to undo, and what torque do you tighten them when you do them up?

Any other tips would be appreciate, thanks!

I've never used sealant on one of these gaskets and have heard not too, mine have never leaked (although on my vr6 sumps never really laster more than a month or two thanks to driving silly low daily)

Not sure what size the bolts are sorry, 6 rings a bell but that could be a complete guess, either way, they're a pretty common size. If you have an air wrench its like a 20 minute job

Oh and don't tighten them up too tight, I've heard thats a common way to make them leak. I can find the actual torque in my bentley a bit later.
