I need to get a new system made for mine, so this thread could still be of use.

Here is my current sysem (in grey) and the new way i want my system run (red)

Stuffed if i know why they did it the way they did, but there is about 3 foot too much pipe under my car.

how does everyone esles pipes run?

I want to swap for a rear box (Xforce) and use a hotdog in the center to tone it down a little.
At the moment i have a large center muffler (supercat) and a smaller rear one (lukey) the bloke who fitted the rear one fitted a 2.25" couse it was easer to fit. It replaced a hotdog that was there origanally. But it was Very Loud.

You cant have side pipes for our cars unfortunately. The exhaust must exit behind the last opening door/window.

Cant wait to hear this puppy steve!

Your not wrong, picked it up this afternoon.

2" pipe from cat to rear muffler and it's a just little droney now... also a tad louder.

Seems to have a smoother power curve now too and a bit of a burble under engine braking. It's somewhat of a different car to drive, will have to go out and have a bash to learn it's new sweet spot.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

                            Milltek...for the 8 & 16v...not cheap and cat-free. Shiny!

VR6 one is a bit more chunky, if you are on a budget one of the best things you can do to a mk3 is to rip out the cat and that useless suitcase thing in the middle.
Have heard real good things about the Magnaflows too

Unless its just the sound youre after. But i did notice significant gain from the stock 2.125" with a remus tacked onto it.
I read an exhaust review on the net and this was the first or second best exhaust for power, even though it's only 2.25 inch, around 9Kw and 9Nm i think. The remus actually doesn't make as much power according to the review i read...
                              So there's your answer Tim
