I had that happen once on my VR6 after the battery had been charged while in the car. If you have the PIN for your radio I would suggest that you try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then re connecting it. It fixed mine so it will cost you nothing to try.

Welcome to VWW timo. First of all, congrats on your VR6 purchase. It's a cracker of a car I'd bet

Where abouts are you based? It'd be good if you can adjust your user options so you can display your location. Also, most posts should go in the General Chat section - you'll get more views there than here!

Mate, if you're located in the Sydney area, give Matt at CamdenGTI a call - 0423051737. He should be able to help you out with your clocks, and if still doesn't work, he should have spare ones. He's located in Campbelltown by the way.

have had battery disconnected since then and hasn't done a thing! thanks for the thought mate anyway coz i think theres something going on with my radio too you can disconnect battery and don't need any code to get radio working again...radio works with ignition turned off, is that normal for a volksvagen?

You mean with the key in right? The car's "accessories" function appears to be when the key is in rather than another notch on the barrel.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
