    sorry for the delay pommygolfer, got the details on the compressor

    as far as i can tell (label is forward facing and partially obscured) it is a Sanden compressor, model SD7HIS?? I was told that it was above the rated capacity of the original compressor, but I cant vouch for that.. the hottest day we have had in melbourne since i have had it fitted was 27 degrees, and i had to have the window down a little as it was too cold in the car, seems ok.

    as for fitting it, to swap the compressors would be a pretty simple job i suspect, it looks like a direct fit? but pressurising the system, leak testing it, fixing the leaks, that is well out of my league.

      Air con can never get too cold... ever.

      In short I want my air con to be like yours...

      If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
