  • Stock sway bars

    What are their sizes, front and rear? Are they different between the 4-cylinder and VR6 models?
    Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
    Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

    I'd LOVE to know about this for my VR6.

    Or perhaps I should go out and buy some measuring callipers and find out???

          I think I'll use your idea and measure it tomorrow Matty. Well, the GL ones anyway.

                I've also heard that our Mk3s never came with rear sway bars? But then what's that bar extending beneath the underbodies of our cars?

                      cool, I have h&r on mine. got it from that guy in chatswood, whats his name. around $380 is what I recall. the rear sway bar removes lots of body roll. its a must for every vr6 in my opinion.

                          hey ray I should have measured it when we had the cars jacked up huh .. so stupid... But I have read gl and vr6 are definately different.

                          Man the more I read the more I want to get them...

                          HEy cOS could you in words describe the feeling for a swaybar.. big difference in stock to after market? Also what suspension set up do you have ?
