  • Removing exterior mirror covers

I need to paint the coloured mirror covers on a Mk3 and can't work out how to remove the painted mirror covers. They look like they clip off but I don't want to force them. I'd rather remove them rather than just mask.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    cheers...doc

take the mirror out with two flat head screwdrivers just be carefull not to crack it, there is some clips to push there like half arrows thats the only way i can explain them lol

They do come out with force, I end up breaking one side and could never get the other side back in correctly.
I say mask them its much easyer lol.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a large possibility of breakage. I think I'll just mask them. Better to put the cash into something I need rather than something I broke.

        cheers

Ahhh... the money I have spent on things I have "fixed"...

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
