I was going to say your VR6 does 3k at 100kph? Mine does about 120kph at 3k rpm i'm sure of it. Try a corolla with a 4AGE, 3800rpm at 110kph lol

I had a look at this on the freeway this morning while I was going to work and Tims right I thought not though lol, I was at 100kph and I was just under or at 2600rpms.

Makes me think thats something is wrong with others if thats what they are getting!

yeh that sounds alot better... i was going to say, i'm up to about 470km now and i reckon i've still got about 15-20L let in the tank.

3000rpm at 100km/h is what my car does and there is almost half the amount of engine in mine.... lol

Just over 1/2 a tank or so and your up to 470kms... dang. So what's your average consumption, like 6L/100km's?? Thats bloody impressive! Even with a 1.6/1.8L engine.

Bring it to Wakefield and I bet you don't get that low a figure anymore

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

An hour is VERY good work. Would be a very fun hour no doubt

yeh i've been trying to keep it low since the first mention of fuel consumption on here...

I waited till it got completely empty and then I put 50L in. So far it has probably 2/5ths left... the CL (1.8L) doesn't come with a trip computer so i'll have to work out the average when it is done - give me a week or so.. lol

most of my driving is long roads at 60-80kms and the occassional freeway run when i miss the train (@ 110kmh). the only time it gets above 4000rpm is when i am late for the train in the mornings

I live in a coldesac and I can still hit 4,000rpm before I leave the street ... which of course is why my consumption is higher

mine does 2600 rpm at 100. But i recon i could live witrh it being lower.

$250 is not that bad for the part.
