Hey I was thinking about a shortshifter too! Do they actually do much about the stiffness of your gearbox? Cause my VR6 has a floppy gearbox and i want it tighter, lol..
I'm assuming you mean how the stick has lots of side to side movement when in gear:
Check out Louis' post, the kit is supposed to have a "side to side" reduction pin which should fix that right up.
I have a S/S but it didn't come with the side to side reduction (only Deiselgeek does it). Looking at that photo, surely I could do some kind of DIY jobby??? It looks like such a simple part

Stiffness as in resistance of the stick while chaging gear ? When I first installed it, it was really stiff, was using my tricep and bicep muscle to change gears, another words very tiring. 3-4 months later they become just right.
Where abouts in sydney are you from. I am near parramatta/ carlingford. Come over to try before buy. Feels nice in the begining, most times I forget I even have it.
