  • Jacob's MK3!

Hey everyone, don't think I have a proper thread on my MK3, so I thought I'd better start! A lot of you saw my car at the oxenford car show but I've taken some recent photos of it while it was super low. Shame I didn't get a chance last time it was this low to take some photos of it, thanks Mr. Police man! I'm thinking the quickest way to do this is to post the album I've got on facebook that I always update. You can then see my car from when I first got it to what it is nowadays and please feel free to add me! I need more facebook dubber friends!

            Looks great.
Have you considered checkering the light casings to match the mirrors?

I think I spent way too much time drooling over your car. It just sat so nice.
You should let me shoot it.

kinda stuck at the moment :/ there's nothing that I'm desperate to do which is a first haha a lot of it is still stock like the headlights, exhaust and sound system but I'm in no rush to change any of those yet. I'm liking the idea of the checkered light casings though, I might give it a go. Probably have to make sure that they're not on at night though. I was also thinking of something like 1/2 inch spacers for the back wheels and then maybe rolling the guards to suit but I'm a bit unsure. I'm happy with how it sits anyways

Wheels aren't BBS they're a copy cat version of the RS but I think they're pretty dam close! 15x7 and +20 all round. bought them off ebay from a guy in Brisbane who custom makes them, you tell him what stud pattern and offset you want (lowest he goes is +20 from memory) and he'll send them out to you, pretty cheap as well! $850 i think including postage.

Great work on the car mate, looked very nice on Sunday. Cool chatting to your Dad too and hearing that he had a VR6 back in the day, nice bit of back story.

And for everyone: If you think this car looks good stationary, you should see it rolling, it look very impressive.

Everyone runs BBS because they look ****ing awesome! I don't care if they're overdone, they look mint.

                            Great looking mk3, Jacob.

^Agreed, much as people say RS's are played, they are amazing on the golf (and plenty of others) - so far I have resisted getting a set, mostly cause I think will accentuate my paint in the wrong way, but if I was shiny I'd definitely want a set! Look mint on your car mate!
