650 before all of manheims fees. like 850 after those. A price I'm stoked about. I was willing to pay atleast 2 grand if it were to go that high. I suppose the fact that its modified and all would have put car dealers and such off, and the additional damage inflicted by manheim may have all worked in my favour
Great that you have been able to buy it back, at a good price too. You have effectively bought all the bits you put onto/into the motor with a car attached.
Also have to give the biggest of big thanks ever to VW Imposter, who linked me to it the night before the auction (I had been searching for it since I crashed it but it wasn't coming up for some reason. If I didn't get the message, it would have gone to someone else never to be seen (by myself) again.
All good dude, glad it's back with its rightful owner. Now get butchering that t'ing.
Yeah I was pissed off, I thought it may have been the driver side but nah, is the passenger one. Ill get you a photo when I get home. The bonnet is pretty much mint though
Hah I wish. Its got a completely flat battery (they just leave the keys in them so they can turn them and stuff and that kills. And also has no coolant or oil. Sump is probably ****ed. Will try and jack it up and sus it all out tomorrow.
Wheels havent seen any more action since last weekend. Been a bit busy with the new (old) toy.
Pushed the thing into the garage this morning (that took a LOT of effort... got it completely beached over a slight bump.
Am I low yet?
With a bit of thinking I managed to jack it up, wind the coils up a bit and put the spare on... then gave it a bath... yeah. I'm a little crazy like that.
Took a look underneath and its not too bad. The sump is bent and I dont think it will be fixable. But the oil pump and all is still good so I'm happy with that.
2 door still not roadworthy. Needed new rear brake shoe pad things (whatever they're called, I've never dealed with drums before) and new drums. Along with a new alternator belt front brake hoses and wiper blades. Hoping to get it roadworthy by next Monday so I don't have to have yet another inspection. Taking the chance to swap in the disc brakes to the back instead of fresh drums. Along with steel braided brake lines all around.
Awww hell yeah! Is your stereo still all working/undamaged? That'd probably be worth 850 in itself, mind you the amp and sub might have copped a fair whack at the back.
