    • Hhehhe yeah I hope the poliec dont watch me too much, I was defected in Toowoomba which is where my parents live, I was up visiting for the uni holidays. I live in Brisbane (for those non-qlders its about 150km away) so I doubt the brisbane police will know anything about my car. I'm going to drive around with it pumped up a lot more than I used to. I use to drive the car without less than an inch of ground clearance daily, but now I think I'll drive at a much more standard looking height, as I really don't want any more police attention.

But thanks guys, I'm really happy with how it turned out after the detail, even after just claying it it looked more white, the rest just made it more shiny. A white car will never look as reflective as my old windsor blue one will, but it just looks really clean now, which I'll try to maintain.

      • looks great! That paint really did come up a treat, and well done for clearing that defect.

The State governments need to stop wasting their time on such petty stuff and actually concentrate on the real problems.

                  • If you can take public transport for uni, just do the 3 months and get it over and done with, 3 months can go by super quick. Sometimes it's just too easy to get caught doing 10km/h+ or a U-turn or even just dropping someone off at a no-stopping zone. But it's your call!

Especially considering what your mode of transport is.

Go the three months and save some coin.
You can then use the excuse of not being desi each saturday night

                        • What! you have a choice? go the 3 months, it goes quick and 1 point is sure not to last long if you lose points so easily for not displaying P plate properly..

                          • I don't think it's the easy, ive got a couple days left to make my decision I'm tempted to go three months but I work and uni in the city and finish late, melbourne public transport is Shiit as well

                            • Yeah I was about 75% set on the 3 months, I live within walking/riding (if I could be bothered to fix the bike) distance of uni, and when I'm down in brisbane drive very rarely anyway, mostly to auto parts stores and car meets etc actually haha. Although I was talking to someone the other day who recommended the 1 year because even after the 3 months, I will then have a curfew of like 11pm for a year anyway and such, so am then being punished for a year and 3 months instead of just a year. So will have to think about it some more, but probably will go the three months. Would be good in a way I suppose, need to put a lot more effort into uni this semester than I did last one so they dont throw me out, so having less distractoins could be a good thing

                              • From what i have heard, the 3 month option is a lot easier if you have access to suitable public transport or a significant other who can drive you.

Otherwise you have to spend a year trying to stay within the limits which may not be possible *i.e. failed to slow down at a yellow light etc*
