Nathan I would love to buy them but I don't have that kind of money to be honest but its oh so tempting, Is there a chance that we can work out a deal lol
What kinda deal we talkin? I'm not willing to lose money on them, which means I can't move too much on price.
Good stuff steve, looks like its full steam ahead. It just so happens that i sprung a pinhole leak in my heater hose too but it only pisses out when its at temp lol. Maybe i should see this as a reason to spend money too hahaha.
Btw, this thread needs juicy pics when its being done.
Haha thanks Pedro I have some pics not step by step but some in action so to speak I was able to get down to sebs workshop on the weekend and take some photos as well as do something that will make it look abit more inpressive overall but that will be at the end
Is the chip worth the time of day if you don't do the cams at the same time?
Well the chip will still work fairly well and will give you a good top end extending the rev range, however with cams it will be a even greater lift even better
Well fellas I will upload some photos tomorrow as photobucket is giving me the ****s!
Thanks for all the warm thanks guys as I wasn't going to put the thread up
Steve! I'm like! It's giving me butterflies! I'll be VV interesting t c a dyno read out after all is complete! Can you find out the specs on the cams at all? even just a brand? . . . Cheers and good luck! . . . . (i better pull ma finger out huh)
Well fellas some pics as promissed, I won't be getting the car back today as I thought see post above but GIAC are still writing my custom code program I have been told
I should be getting my car back tomorrow so fingers crossed, I will then have a assessment of how it all goes. Alex the cams are techtonics cams, Seb was going to use them on his car before he went forced induction.
Previously I got 112.2 kw at wheels with a catback exhaust and also a crude CAI at the last Canberra dyno, and funny enough I will be going down there in October for the Autofest so I will be dynoing it again on the Saturday.
Anyway guys some pics as promised :]
This is my car on the hoist at Sebs WOOT for the car on the hoist lol.
Close up of the engine bay with Sebs handy work covered up, OMG what did you do
BAHHHHHH Stupid **** only 4 posts ohwell to next post then!
Nice close up of the cams well one of them. Only one is installed at the moment try and guess which one lol.
But where could my lower intake manifold be
The man is still got abit more porting and polishing to complete still rough but getting there shavings everywhere!
The other side of the manifold to see the difference, accompanied by my lovely hairy hand, oh so beautiful
I also did abit of cleaning in the rain tray area seeing that half of it was off due to the ECU being in Melbourne. All that and more in the next post WOOT!!!
I didn't quite get as many photos as I would have liked to but, this is what it looked like before hand:[
I used OC120 thanks Pierre and gave it a clean, fantastic stuff. I swear without a word of a lie I spend the good part of 25 mins with a vacuum cleaner cleaning 11 years of leaves, twigs and dirt out of the rain tray area.
Pollon Filter holder plastic thing-a-majig once again held by my hand lol
Will try and take a few more photos if I get a chance tonight to go down but maybe not!
All comments are welcomed so cheers and thanks from now
