Haven't updated in quite a while but a few small things have happened. I'm slowly getting the car ready for a hill climb session in a few weeks. Started off painting the vr6 logo, have changed the break fluid and most importantly I've finally gotten around fitting the rear sway bar! What an awesome difference!! Can't wait to get the front one fitted *mmmmm* Drives so so much better. Everyone should deff get a rear one! Can't say anything about the front one yet since I haven't gotten it mounted.

          here are some pics

Clean coolant bubbles are always a nice touch

That wirey stuff in the pcv outlet is meant to be there. Not sure if it does a lot. theres also meant to be a hose connected to a valve then connected to the air intake tube off there, if yours has nothing coming off it...

After going to the wreckers and finding a UK private import passat VR6 I got so excited I grabbed heaps of good to have bits.

Fully working and now fitted coil pack that's not that old. Pcv, hoses, intake manifold, buttons, badges, handles, electric waterpump (the one next to the coil pack, mine is leaking) crack pipe, temp guages intake tube to fix my one, euro style headlight switch with front and rear fog switch, etc, etc. All for $70! Pretty sweet!!

Started sanding it down and will be painted. New different colour leads is on the wish list!
Where can I buy red leads?! Want them like tomorrow Hehe.

I think Tim at Dub Addiction can help with leads.

Did you get the bits off the passat at Centre Rd wreckers?

For red leads, speak to Louis or Paul at Euroclass. I had new leads fitted during a service recently and they're the red BERU leads. They're very well made, all exactly the right length and a nice bright red colour.
