last edition are a KW V2 on the old galvanised struts from the last edition they brought out. You can get a set of V2's for $1900, theres currently a special going for VWVortex members through Wilkinson and Wheels World.

If you look at the website www.inmotive.com.au they have specials for vortex and watercooled members! I got the V2's not the limited editions as they are better and are Stainless steel instead of galvanised!

        As I read it, thats $2.3k for V2's for a Mk3 VR6, am i rite?

Is $1900 for the last edition ones? I wonder how much of a huge difference stainless steel would be to galvanized in the long run? It's not like i'm going to be keeping the car for 10+ years...

it is just about the way they look. they both have a similar longevity. if you are going to be showing the car, get the stainless as it looks better.

Partly right but stainless are alot better material! You also can't see your coilovers if you have them slammed to the ground

I think the part that most people have issue with on coilovers are the threaded sections corroding. Ive heard of some people having issue with the cheaper FK series in the past. But more of a problem in the UK or US where they salt the roads in winter id say.

yeah thats basically the speel I got about them. If you don't live right on the ocean, you haven't got an issue.

Is that what causes them to seize? Surely there must be some kind of preventative measure?
