  • radiator fan temps

    Hi guys,

I have a 1996 Vento 2L and I was wondering if anyone had the thermo fan cut-in/cut-out temperatures (including the high speed fans)?

    Thanks!

You have a Vento... Sweet !!
Don't think I have welcomed you here.. Welcome aboard.
By the way, your real helps are coming But I think the fan cut in at the 80s*C range.

I remember Golf Loon say to me normal range for vr6 is about 90ish to 100 something and 2.0 is lower, or maybe he was talking about the oil temperature?? I always get confused with the oil and water temperature

        Someone help please.

the cut in temp for the 2.0 is:
          low speed off 84-91 C; on at 92-97 C
          high speed off 91-98 C; on at 99-105 C

              What about for the VR6?

I assume they are pretty close to that. My high speed is shagged and stays on permanently, so I have a hard switch in the high speed line, so if I ever fix the problem I just leave the switch on (or remove it) and it will work as it's intended.

Problem is my low speed is now coming on all the time too, then staying on for a few minutes after the car has stopped, even if I cold start it and move it 5 feet.

Still working on what is causing that.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
