    The first thing I noticed:
"Fits: 93-98 VW Golf only, does not fit GTI or VR6"
For the more Golf savvy... is there any difference in the headlights of a 2.0L Golf and the VR6?

Also just found this one, although I'm sure there are many more... seems like something interesting to try...

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

CAREFUL. These are American lights, for Americans who drive on the wrong side of the road.

What does this mean? The light pattern is different. You *WILL* daze on coming drivers because your lights will be shining at THEM instead of the road.

Also, angel eye is for BMW. Angel eye on anything besides BMW looks... odd.

Hi Pullstarter. Welcome to the forums The only headlights worth going for are the ones manufactured by Hella or in.pro, which are a subsidiary of Hella I believe. These would offer the best fitment if not the best quality!

Also, do you mind posting up where you're from and which VR6 you recently purchased? I've been looking for a VR6 as well, and had my eye on a 96 too!

            Hi Simon,
welcome!!! those lights you have found are actually from Hong Kong and made in china.Quality can be varying ,take care!
I usually buy from German Ebay and this seller usually has much better quality than those chinese made lights.

i think in the us the non vr6/gti have single chamber lights and gti/vr6 have dual chambers. Then the only difference "should" be the wiring but potentially could be something to do with the radiator frame where is mounts to.

I have had single chanber headlights they are from Mexico. There is no real difference besides the way that the screw plastic cap goes on thats all.

So all the inpro lights are good quality yes? Hmm worth looking into, as long as they're a straight plug n play item I'd be keen. Rayray; The 96 I'm hopefully picking up on the weekend (depending on my slow ass bank ) was advertised on carsales.com and is a local ACT car. I'll post up some pics when I take delivery I was going to look at a real glamour that's in a dealers in Bankstown, 97 model with only 80kms but he wanted 12k+ and I didn't really want to go through all the changing state rego etc. The one I'm getting seems pretty well looked after with full service history etc. Thanks for the help guys much appreciated

Mine had arches and is a 96... 1/96, so it's possible.

                            build or complied?

if it was build date, then yours might have been the last???

I think it may be a 95 build first registered 96 but i could be wrong. I'm loving those wheel arch flares, so MK1-esque Unfortunately no leather but I am looking into getting the interior re-upholstered maybe in macro suede
