  • Mk3 2 door with added whoosh!

Finally managed to get on with this project this week to replace Daves Cupra which was tragically T Boned by a Golf 6!!

Ripped the weasly 1.8 heart out of the CL.

Slotted in Mk3 VR6 front subframe, wishbones and 288mm brakes, straight bolt in.

Also fitted the VR6 rear beam with integral swaybar and rear disc setup.

    As it sits now

Dash is out, new wiring loom is in and parts are at the ready. More soon.

It's always nice to see a three door getting some loving.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

We are gonna leave it eactly like that. I have some 16" hubcaps somewhere that could be amusing too.

Cupra seats all fitted up now, needs dash and engine.

Challenge is gonna be fiting ac, intercooler and radiator in the front and keeping the stock look.

We have not moved yet Mik, couple of weeks.

OK, so tried the gentle persuasion approach with fitting a massive intercooler into a Mk3.

Didn`t really work out, so got the grinder and air saw and got into it

This is what I came up with

Motor is in, more booster / master clearance than on a Cupra, thats for sure

Started fitting up the front, this is how she looks now. (The plates have been changed to protect the guilty)

Lots of plumbing to do in the engine bay. More soon.

spray the intercooler black so no one sees it!

                              sleeper win.
