Haven't seen you since 2011 Nationals. Wednesday around 7.30 followed your car for a few kilometres along the Cumberland highway on my way home from Newcastle. Your car looked immaculate as always. Well deserved trophy in my opinion.
You know you are getting old when you cancel your order for a 3.6 CC and buy an Icelandic Gray TDI CC instead.

^ thanks mate..... i thought you would have come down this year .

Just a quick update on my slow progress and a few pics to keep everyone happy

Well last year i got my hands on sweet set of BBS RS thanks to Steve
specs at the time 7.5 et20 and 8s et 12 with adapters and Kuhmo 205/45/16 chunky as **** ku31

i had the rear guards rolled soon after

So i rocked these for quite some time but wasn't really feeling the look, this pic is basically how it had to sit because of rubbing . On the way down to Canberra i basically destroyed 2 brand new Kumho on the rear thats how bad it was .
                GAF 2011

When i got back from Canberra i decided it was time to switch it up, got down with some number crunching and bombarded Ray with a million questions regarding fitment on mk3s. This being my first crack at my own custom specs and offsets i decided on a 2 phase fit out on the wheels with the intention of going wider and getting the old girl a tad lower WITHOUT rubbing . I went with a new set of 15mm adapters hub and wheel centric, some 195/45 Nankangs and a pair of 1.5 inch lips to start off with .

With the new specs the 8s went on the front and 7.5s were turned into 8.5s and run on the rear . Offsets with the new adapters f +30 r +24

I bought these new the other week for so cheap i couldnt say no to, not relly sure what they are except being an FK??? The seller says they are streetline but from the pictures i have seen on the net im not sure they are. I was going to buy something more plush but when these come up i thought i may as well give them a go. Im not expecting the world from these but if i get some improvement over my craptunning i will be a happy man.

Next on the card is to throw the FKs in and trial fit the 8.5s to see where im at on the front in prep for some 9s or even some 9.5s ( bring out the big guns lol ) on the rear...... happy days

your car is so perfect as it is, you're still running the game and trying to get moar!

I think you probably just need two sets, on daily set (Current specs) and one show set (hello 9's and 9.5's!) haha

I want to see this thing polished before GAF too! haha

Jarred you know as well as i know the game never stops lol

I am currently on the look out for another set of rims for the daily grind so i can let loose and drop bombs with this set
Kind of have my eye on the RNs for sale in the classifieds but they are a bit on the pricey side for something that is just going to look like a bigger version of the stock VR rims.... im gonna hit him up an offer soon if they don't sell .

Polished before GAF ? i thought i was doing well with my $7 wash n wax, sponge and bucket hahaha

HAHA spend more on wheels then the car. good work!
the RS are sweet as is, cant wait to see what you end up with.
have you done number crunching on offsets and lip sizes once you go wider?

Think your VR6 is spot on atm Bimma. Some nice engine tweeks and a OEM+ interior would be the icing on the cake IMO.

Its so clean and the wheels fitment is spot on for me (None of thsi crazy poking stuff on funny angles)

                              yeah sure have mate

run the 8.5s on the front +24 instead of the 8s which are +30

option 1 turn the 8s into 9s with a 2inch lip will leave me at a final offset of +17
option 2 9.5s on the rear with a 2.5inch lip at around +11 with mass amounts of camber lol
