Its been a while since i updated this thread, not much has been done recently except for suitcase delete and some fresh rims..... some progress is better than none right ???

Anyways had a RDO on friday so i thought it was about that time again to do a minor service and tidy up of the old girl in preparation for GAF in Canberra

Got to try my new jack and stands which the little ones got for me on fathers day





Installed a 42dd pcv fix, my old one was gonski and the coolant hose i replaced it with started to perish









And how she scrubbed up after a wash / vac

Next mods on the list are
* wider lips, going 9s on the rear if the numbers stack up after doing the math and if not then 8.5s for sure
* freshen up the interior with some nicer seats.... maybe recaro ?
* some half decent coilovers... most likely some KW

just got back from Canberra about an hour or so and the car is filthy once again haha..... was a good run, didnt break anything and no speeding tickets

Spent the last hour removing the wheels getting ready for some more lip and smaller rubber

mk4 recaros installed in the VR

Ever since i bought the VR6 i always wanted to install some nice seats, and if you like your shiz OEM+ like me, then you can't really go past a set of mk4 recaros . I have always thought about doing this but i must admit sitting in dubsteves car kinda sealed the deal for me and i just had to go and get me some

So rego was due and on the same day i went to get a pink slip ( basically a yearly RWC in NSW ) my wipers decided to seize up . Its kind of hard to get one with your wipers stuck halfway through its motion so off i went to pay loon a visit at his HQ .

Whilst getting my car sorted i had a wonder around his workshop and found a nice set of mk4 recaros on the shelf that were begging for some use . I was ummming and arrrring for while thinking to myself should i just do it or wait for another set to pop up as money was walking out the door due to rego and i was in the middle of making my RS's wider . Anyways after a while and still undecided on what i was going to do trying to be a responsible spender ( if that makes sense? ) my lovely misses said that she was going to purchase them for me ( i must be doing something right lol ) and i was like sweeet cant complain about that . ( Thanks honey )

Its one thing to slap them in and its another thing to actually get them to fully function as they do in a mk4.

The end result turned out way above what i expected, if you didn't know anything about mk3s you would think it rolled off the production line in wolfsburg like that .

So a massive thanks goes out to Matt and his crew at Camden GTI for fixing up my rough idle, making my wipers work better than ever and for being straight champions ! love your work mate

Oh before i forget if anyone was looking for a pretty mint set of VR6 front and back seats without any holes, rips or burns they are currently at Matt's workshop so give him a buzz .

Same seats as what I was going to put in the vento. I thought my normal bora seats were nice, but how good are the recaros!!!!
Cant wait to see these wheels with wider lips, they are so mint at GAF
