  • A Pillar clips

I'm on the hunt for these little trim clips (mine are toast) after one too many removals and 14 years of sun

    Part 2: 1H3 867 260 B
    Part 3: 1H3 867 260 C

The ones I can see, part 2 is red and part 3 is black.

I did mean to ring the dealer today to see if they were still available but didn't get around to it today. Any other alternatives that people know of? (or know what I can expect to pay?).

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Pick'n'payless at Blacktown. They often have Mk3s or Seats and they have the clips. Last I went I pocketed a million of them, don't know where they are at the moment but if I find them, I'll let you know.
    Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
    Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

Supercheap might stock them in those littly "Handy Packs"?
MK2 - *Insert list of dealer purchased extra's/standard features here*
80 series - The MK2's BIG, Sooty, polar opposite...

Thanks once again to the almighty Loon @ Camden GTI it's all back together. Seem's he wrecking a VR6 at the moment so I checked out the clips and they were in brilliant condition (unlike my crumbly ones). A few screws and all the trim is back in it's place along with the now neatly mounted hands free mic that started it all.

              Very pleased.

              Trim back in place:

And mic in it's new home:

I'm not usually a big JVC fan, but when the Pioneer unit with similar features was $800+ vs $265 for the JVC KD-R716 it wasn't all that hard a choice. For your money you get full bluetooth integration including both handfree speakerphone + streaming audio. 2 x RCA outputs and full iPod/iPhone support (tested and working with the iPhone4 and 4.1 for anyone who is interested).

(just have to get out the long nose pliers (or tweezers) and get out that bit of foam )

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

sounds like a decent headunit for the price

And even though its a little off the topic of A Pillar clips, is that foam a bad sign? My vents are full of it aswell

The inside of the ducts are lined with the foam, it's old... it falls off. Long story short is that it will continue to fall out until it's all gone.

...mind you, for me that's three years and counting AND I had a pile pulled out when the heater core was done. Normally it's just little bits here and there, nothing to be particularily worried about.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
